Converting low value plastics into bricks.

A collaboration with St Josephs Engineering College, Mangalore to develop a recycling machine for low value plastic. Multi layer plastic such as chips and other junk food wrappers cannot be recycled and are therefore burned or landfilled. This project has designed and manufactured a machine that converts this kind of plastic into bricks which can be used for all types of surface construction. Further, the machine is designed keeping in mind a cottage industry level of operation such that it can be adopted by rural communities where this type of waste creates most damage.

The machine currently undergoing testing and will be operationalised by March 2018.
